This was really marvelous. I loved the game of creating fantastical stories about people in turns (which inevitably makes them become very weird very quickly).

I felt so for the narrator, losing Chuck so early and then

having even that sense of closeness and unburdening taken away.

Faithful to the end, it seems that Jimmy finally got the mercy he deserved.
