I hadn't even thought of that! It's great when people find new meanings in something you've written.


My thought process was something like: "The future outwits our certitudes... what's something people are certain about but is often out of their hands?... BIRTHING, perfect example... *mull overnight* .... what could outwit that certitude? *mull overnight*... fate? ... something that deliberately sabotages birth plans! ... hmm, but why...."
